What is a travel eSIM?
A travel eSIM is a prepaid mobile data plan that downloads onto your phone as a digital profile instead of arriving as a plastic SIM card. You buy it online, receive a QR code by email within one to two minutes, scan it before you fly, and switch on data roaming when you land — there is nothing to ship and no counter to queue at.
Code eSIM sells travel eSIMs for 191 countries and regions, with more than 1,700 data plans starting at $1.90. Plans run on local 5G and 4G LTE networks through partner carriers on five continents. Delivery is automatic: the QR code arrives as soon as payment clears, with no waiting for business hours. Your existing SIM stays in place, so your own number keeps receiving calls and verification codes while the eSIM handles data. Unactivated eSIMs can be refunded within 14 days.

Frequently asked questions
What is a travel eSIM?
A travel eSIM is a prepaid mobile data plan that downloads onto your phone as a digital profile instead of arriving as a plastic SIM card. You scan a QR code, the plan installs in about two minutes, and your data works as soon as you land.
Does my phone support eSIM?
Most phones released since 2018 do: iPhone XS and later, Samsung Galaxy S20 and later, Google Pixel 3 and later. Mainland-China iPhones are the main exception. Dial *#06# — if an EID number appears, your phone supports eSIM. The phone also has to be carrier-unlocked.
When should I install the eSIM — before or after I fly?
Install it before you fly, over Wi-Fi at home. Installing is not the same as activating: most plans only start counting validity when the eSIM first connects to a network at your destination, so an early install does not waste days.
Will I keep my own phone number?
Yes. The travel eSIM carries data only and runs alongside your existing SIM, so your own number keeps receiving calls and verification codes. Turn off data roaming on your primary SIM to avoid carrier charges while the eSIM handles the internet.
Can I get a refund if I change my mind?
Unactivated eSIMs can be refunded within 14 days of purchase. Once an eSIM has been installed and has connected to a network it is considered used, though genuine product faults are reviewed case by case.
